The on-site consulting engagement is designed to meet the following objectives: 

• Install and configure the Virtual-AppServerAdmin data gathering and message transmission software.
• Review the current Application Server platform configuration in order to recommend any tuning and optimization adjustments that may be needed.
• Establish an initial set of system configuration and tuning parameter settings and allowable operating ranges for critical system resources.
• Understand the type of application and user environment.

During the service implementation, the Virtual-AppServerAdmin specialist will look at a variety of performance measurements including Servlet response times, database connection pool statistics, garbage collection and heap utilization. Application Server logs will be analyzed for errors or warnings that may be indicators of performance or availability issues. Additionally, the Application Server professional will review any specific issues being experienced in your environment and recommend follow-up actions.
