Escape Everest - Quest for the Yeti
Your team will trek through the Himalayas in search of the infamous Yeti! Escape Everest is a thrilling virtual escape experience where you’ll solve puzzles and mini-challenges to find the Yeti’s cave and earn medallions along the way.
Ultimate Holiday Game Show
The ultimate holiday game show will transport you back to the nostalgic world of daytime television. Whether you are a die-hard game show fan, a winter holiday aficionado, or simply love the thrill of friendly competition, you will tackle fun challenges that will put your skills and teamwork to the test.
XTIVIA Tech Trivia
This game is all the fun of a slightly chaotic pub trivia night, but with the added twist that all of the trivia is custom-tailored XTIVIA Tech Trivia. Test your knowledge of tech and discover once and for all which team are the biggest tech geeks at XTIVIA?
Santa Room
If you have kids you want to bring in on the fun, you can join the Santa Room featuring holiday music, coloring sheets, and an appearance from Santa Claus.
Eating Together
DOORDASH DELIVERED TO YOU
Like last year, since we’re all spread across the country, we’re sending your food to you! Through DoorDash, you’ll be able to order whatever dinner you prefer, free of charge, on the day of the party. (Order between 1:00 PM and 11:59 PM YOUR LOCAL TIME on the day of the party)
If you joined us last year, your credentials are the same, just go to doordash.com/teams/join and sign in with Google or with your saved information from last year.
If you are new this year, you will need to create an account with DoorDash with your XTIVIA email address before ordering. Simply go to doordash.com/teams/join to join XTIVIA’S portal. The portal will be active prior to the event.

GAMES

Q: Can we stay for half of one session and then try out another one?
A: Nope. The hosts and your teammates are counting on your participation in the room or on that team for the entire 90-minute session. Your team needs you, so you will want to stay in the room and game you signed up for, as XTIVIA is paying for that RSVP.
Q: Do I need to have my camera on to participate?
A: We have a strong preference and hope you will be on your webcam for the games and awards. Some games may require a visual to collaborate. In the spirit of the holidays and the holiday party, we hope to see your face.
Q: I’ll be on a sales call until halfway through the Games. Can I still join a party session, or must I only join the Awards portion?
A: Unfortunately, you cannot join one of the other game rooms, as team selection is at the very beginning. We look forward to seeing you after the games are over, during the awards ceremony!
Q: Can multiple people play a game on one computer?
A: Not this time. For the best experience, we offer the game time for XTIVIA Employees only, and XTIVIA pays for each RSVP game choice.
Q: Are there prizes for winning the games?
A: We hope you feel showered with surprises and fun at the event on December 5th, and though we will not have physical rewards for the games, you will have bragging rights until the next game day!
Q: Can I attend all the events, or do they overlap?
A: You may attend one game session and the awards session. All of the game sessions run concurrently.
Q: Can I spectate at the game events instead of participating?
A: Unfortunately, we did not choose that with our game vendor, so spectating is not an option.
FOOD
Q: What is the budget for my DoorDash order? What if I spend less than that? What if I spend more?
A: The budget is $75.00. There is no expectation of spending the exact amount budgeted. A meal could be under the budget, or you may order a fun pizza dinner for all in your home. A special occasion meal is also an option. The sky’s the limit on what you order. If the order exceeds $75.00, you will be responsible for the difference in cost.
Q: Do I have to order my DoorDash on the day of the holiday party?
A: We have a special with DoorDash, and the window is from 1:00 PM to 11:59 PM EST on the day of the party. By using your XTIVIA DoorDash account, there is no need to file an expense report or provide a credit card at purchase(unless you go over $75.00.) XTIVIA pre-pays payment!
Q: Can I order from multiple vendors on DoorDash within the $75.00 budget, like to order coffee and dessert after dinner?
A: Yes, you can order from multiple DoorDash vendors during our party window. Up to $75.00 is paid by XTIVIA. If the order exceeds $75.00, you will be responsible for the difference in cost.
Q: What if I already have a DoorDash personal account? Can I use that account for the event order?
A: No, you must create an account with DoorDash using your XTIVIA email address before ordering (if you participated in the past, use the same @xtivia.com email account). Simply go to doordash.com/teams/join to join XTIVIA’S portal. The portal will be active from 1:00 PM to 11:59 PM EST on the day of the party.
Q: What if DoorDash isn’t available in my area?
A: We spoke with a few of you who live remotely and do not have access to DoorDash. If that is the case, get approval from [email protected], then submit your expenses from your holiday dinner for full reimbursement (up to $75.00 with your receipt being dated 12/05/2023, the day of the party – as the whole purpose is for us to have food together.)
Q: What if DoorDash restaurants cannot meet my dietary restrictions or allergies?
A: We spoke with a few of you who have restrictions or allergies and cannot safely order from DoorDash. If that is the case, get approval from [email protected], then submit your expenses from your holiday dinner for full reimbursement (up to $75.00 with your receipt being dated 12/05/2023, the day of the party – as the whole purpose is for us to enjoy food together.)
Q: What if DoorDash isn’t reliable in my area? Can we use something else like Uber Eats or Postmates?
A: We spoke with a few of you who have had access issues to DoorDash. However, DoorDash is our preferred partner, and by using their service, there is no need to file an expense report. If problems with DoorDash arise, you will be responsible for any purchases outside of DoorDash and filing an expense report for reimbursement. To qualify for reimbursement, you must submit expenses from your holiday dinner (up to $75.00) before 12/31/2023, with your receipt dated 12/05/2023, the day of the party, as the whole purpose is for us to enjoy food together.
FAMILY
Q: Is this event child-friendly?
A: XTIVIANs love family, and we have a family-friendly room option. We invite you and your family to visit the Santa Room, featuring some holiday music, coloring sheets, and a visit from Santa.
The Santa room will not include any structured games and activities, so you and your family are welcome to come and go as is convenient for you and your schedule.
HOLIDAY DONATIONS
Q: In previous years, we were encouraged to donate to our favorite charity, and XTIVIA would reimburse us up to $50. Is that still happening?
A: Yes. Please choose your favorite cause to donate to by the end of the year. You can expense any portion of your donation up to $50 by January 31, 2024, and XTIVIA will reimburse you.
