Intranet and Franchisee Portal Implementation at a Global Pizza Corporation

A global pizza restaurant and delivery chain had built an intranet and franchisee portal on Liferay but was facing significant user dissatisfaction with the out-of-the-box Liferay search functionality. They discussed their issues with XTIVIA and we proposed leveraging our search innovations to significantly enhance the user experience with search, both from a performance and an efficacy perspective. We deployed our search plugins and were able to improve performance from 12-18s to the 1-3s range – an improvement of 600%-1,200%. Additionally, the users were able to get to relevant results much more quickly with the most relevant results bubbling up to the top of the list.
