Next.js Development & Consulting
Fast, scalable web experiences, built on Next.js
XTIVIA architects, builds, and runs Next.js websites, apps, and portals — on Next.js 16 with Cache Components, React Server Components, and content that AI search can find.
What's new in Next.js 16
The modern Next.js, production-ready
Next.js 16.4 makes Cache Components the recommended model for every app — and the default in Next.js 17. We help you adopt it without rewriting what already works.
Cache Components
Opt-in, composable caching with 'use cache' — static and dynamic content streamed in one response.
Instant Navigations
Partial Prefetching gives server-rendered apps the responsiveness of a single-page app.
Turbopack by default
The Rust-based bundler behind faster dev servers, faster builds, and smaller production bundles.
Agent-ready tooling
AGENTS.md, MCP, Skills, and next upgrade --agent keep coding agents in sync with your codebase.
Offerings
Where we plug in
From ideation and UX/UI design to go-live and ongoing releases — choose the level of support that matches where your Next.js project is today.
Architecture & Strategy
Composable architecture, rendering strategy, hosting, and the tools around Next.js — chosen with the trade-offs explained, not just the answer.
Next.js Development
Websites, apps, and secure portals on the App Router, React Server Components, and Server Actions — from first sprint to go-live.
Upgrades & Migration
Pages Router to App Router, older versions to Next.js 16, and implicit caching to Cache Components — incrementally, without a freeze.
Headless CMS & DXP
Next.js front ends on Contentful, Strapi, Sanity, or Liferay, with content models your editors can actually run.
UX/UI Design
UX strategy, research, wireframes, and visual design that translate your brand into a fast, accessible front end.
Managed Services
Ongoing development, maintenance, and security patching from a flexible bucket of hours — 10 to 200+ a month.
Capabilities
Every layer of a Next.js build
Next.js projects need more than framework skills. Our team brings depth in the content, integration, cloud, and DevOps work around it.
Rendering Strategy
Static, streamed, and request-time rendering mixed per component — the modern successor to choosing SSG, SSR, or ISR per page.
Caching & Cost Control
'use cache', cacheLife, and ensureStatic keep marketing pages static and server costs predictable.
Server Components & Actions
Less client JavaScript, data fetched on the server, and mutations without a hand-built API layer.
Headless Content
Draft-mode previews, on-demand revalidation, and content models wired cleanly to your CMS.
Search & Personalization
Algolia search and personalized experiences that keep a fast static shell.
Secure Portals
Authenticated customer, partner, and member portals with Auth.js and role-based access.
APIs & Integration
Route Handlers, REST, and GraphQL connecting Next.js to back-end systems and third-party services.
Performance & Web Vitals
Image and font optimization, bundle analysis, and Turbopack builds tuned for real-user metrics.
DevOps & Deployment
CI/CD to Vercel, Netlify, AWS, or Azure — kept portable by the stable Adapter API.
Let's talk about your Next.js project
No obligation, no pressure. Talk with our Next.js architects about what you're building — or what's stuck.
AI-ready content & SEO
Content that AI search can find and cite
Buyers now ask AI assistants and AI search before they ever reach your site. We build Next.js sites for generative engine optimization (GEO) as well as classic SEO.
Structured content models
Headless content modeled as entities and relationships, not page blobs — easy for machines to parse.
Schema.org & metadata
JSON-LD, the Metadata API, and Open Graph generated from content, so every page describes itself.
Server-rendered by default
Complete HTML on first response, so AI crawlers that skip JavaScript still read everything.
llms.txt & markdown routes
Machine-readable indexes and markdown versions of key pages for LLMs and answer engines.
Signature offering
Rescue a stalled project. Launch in months.
Never-ending builds, fragile caching, a codebase nobody wants to touch — we have taken over projects like these and shipped them. It starts with a two-week architecture assessment.
- 01
Two-week assessment
Review architecture, code, rendering and caching choices, hosting, and integrations — with every issue ranked by business risk.
- 02
A plan you approve
A target architecture, a sequenced backlog, and a realistic timeline — agreed before any build work starts.
- 03
Stabilize the foundation
Fix what blocks progress: unpatched versions, broken builds, fragile caching, and runaway server costs.
- 04
Deliver incrementally
Agile sprints that ship working features to production, so stakeholders see progress every few weeks.
- 05
Launch and support
Go-live, knowledge transfer, and optional managed services to keep the app current and secure.
Success stories

FAQ
Next.js questions, answered
Straight answers to the questions we hear most from teams planning a Next.js project in 2026.
Why choose Next.js in 2026?
Next.js is the most widely adopted React framework, and Next.js 16 pairs React Server Components with Cache Components, Instant Navigations, and Turbopack. You get fast first loads, server-rendered HTML that search and AI crawlers can read, and app-like navigation from one framework.
What are Cache Components?
The new Next.js programming model. You mark components or functions with 'use cache', making caching explicit and composable, so one page can mix static, cached, and request-time content. As of Next.js 16.4 it is recommended for every app, and it becomes the default in Next.js 17.
Do SSG, SSR, and ISR still matter?
The ideas do, but the decision has moved. Instead of choosing a rendering mode per page, you decide per component what is static, what is cached and for how long, and what renders at request time. Existing Pages Router apps still support the classic data-fetching methods.
Should we migrate from the Pages Router to the App Router?
For most actively developed codebases, yes — incrementally. Both routers run side by side, so we move routes in priority order. Next.js agent tooling such as next upgrade --agent speeds up the mechanical work; we own the architecture decisions and the verification.
How do we make our site visible in AI search?
Serve complete server-rendered HTML, publish structured data as JSON-LD, keep content in well-modeled headless entities, and offer machine-readable indexes such as llms.txt. Next.js supports each natively; the real work is in the content model and metadata discipline.
Where should we host Next.js?
Vercel, the creators of Next.js, is the most turnkey option. Netlify, AWS, and Azure are all strong choices, and the stable Adapter API makes deployments more consistent across platforms. We recommend based on your cloud, compliance, and cost requirements.
How do you keep a Next.js app secure?
Next.js now ships on a formal monthly security release schedule. Our managed services track those releases, apply patches, and test upgrades, so your app never sits on a version with known vulnerabilities.
Why partner with XTIVIA?
Next.js projects involve architecture trade-offs that are hard to undo. We bring 30+ years of enterprise delivery, real Next.js launches and rescues, and depth in the systems around it — CMS, APIs, cloud, and DevOps — and we explain the why behind every recommendation.
